All dogs used in our breeding program receive their CHIC number - OFA and Embark DNA health tested, and deemed physically and temperamentally sound either through showing or working the dog in the job it was intended to do.
While every dog is cherished and loved here, included as a part of our family, we want some of them the opportunity to be adored by others. Select few will be offered to those who are looking for a very special mature adult dog (not a senior); maybe as an only dog, or maybe we feel they have a special gift and would like to share them with that right person or family. Homes will be screened very carefully. Placement of an adult dog is much different than a puppy.
Placement of adult dogs is a very different process than a puppy. It can be a very emotional one. These are dogs whose lives were planned and created long before they were every born. They are dogs who have been raised to be the best Dachshunds they can be. Dachshunds who represent their breed well. They are dogs who have traveled to more states than you sometimes. Been loved and cherished beyond measure. Most have contributed to our breeding program in some small way. These are very special dogs who are well loved and cared for. But, as a preservation breeder who is actively breeding and always selecting their best prospects to be used in the future of good Dachshunds, not every dog can stay and it's only fair they too get to go on every car ride, every adventure, every pup cup treat, and every night sleeping beside you. Placing adult dogs is a challenge. We are happy to share though when the right home for the right dog comes to us.

Our dogs come trained in different areas, are well traveled, and ENJOY going on car rides. They are housebroken, live a loved life in our home, may know how to hunt and kill rodents, others prefer nothing more than be homebodies and cuddle all day. Each dog is different.

Bugsy got his name real early on as a puppy. Named after Bugsy Siegel. He is a character! Very intense, high drive, focus, voices on rabbit, and is extremely fun to show. Bugsy is going to work on his Grand Championship and play around at some Rally trials!
Bugsy may be available on co-ownership to the right proven AKC Performance home. I am currently only interested in proven Performance homes, and quite possibly with a Junior handler. He ADORES kids! I consider Bugsy a high level prospect in Obedience, Rally, Agility, Nosework, Field (although needs a little work, he has some bad habits- in the field!).

"Cherry Bomb" is our little "baby". Cherry, the couch potato queen!
Cherry was born two weeks after my dad passed away, so she missed out on some early in life lessons that we normally do, and we struggled for a while in the show ring. We changed up our training sessions every day, twice a day, and we finally had a breakthrough moment at one of the shows, and from that day forward, she won every time she stepped in the ring, and she finished her AKC Championship! I am so proud of our wittle Cherweeeee!!!
CHERRY is in search of a home where she can burrow under the fluffiest of blankets and beds and be your world. She is not a hunter or a digger, and is extremely easy to live with. The biggest concern would be her ability to down your cheeseburger if left out before you could ever even realize it. She needs a careful and strict feeding plan. She's never been allowed to be overweight here, and I have that same expectation from her new home. Cherry would be the perfect dog for a quiet older person or someone who wants more couch time with their dog, rather than play time.
Cherry weighs a little over 10 lbs.
Cherry has not yet been spayed, but will be or your vet can do it depending on when the right home comes along for her.

Marvel- What can I say about Miss Marvel? She is so much like her dad Fedor, with a twist. Lol She is HAPPY ALL DAY LONG, she even wags and thumps her tail in her sleep! Marvel is our #1 ratter and snake wrangler at home, but she has shown zero interest at field trials after multiple attempts. She's a great little dog who has always loved everything in life.
Marvel will be spayed late Spring/early Summer 2025 and is going to be available to the best companion home.

Depending how her current litter of puppies turn out in several more weeks, we may have another girl available as well.
We could have a 3 year old black tan girl Field Champion available to a new home around May 1st. She is intelligent, and wishes you to play ball with her when she is not cuddling in your lap. She likes to "find" toys around the house that are out of her reach to bark at, then demand you find it and play with her! She enjoys going for a walk and loves car rides. Her ideal family is one who will include her on all your adventures. She is up for them! She is a little selective with other female dogs, while not an issue with us, it will be best her new home has male dogs only and best it's another Dachshund as that is what she's use to!
